Blog Worthy

Today I painted for the first time in years. My dad's a painter and sign writer and I really wished with all my heart that I would be as talented as him but I don't have the patience to be a painter, I'm a perfectionist.

So I thought I would give it a go. This is the end result.
I don't like the background and I need to cover a few things up with more paint but I like it.

Also today my boyfriend got his second tattoo finished off, its a bass fretboard tearing through his skin. I really like it and want his tattoo artist to do mine for me. (the pink in the photo is meant to be white, blood
mixed into it)

On his way back from the tattoo parlour Paul bought me home some art supplies and I can't wait to break them in, even though they look so good in their wrappers.
Last but not least, Apples site went down this afternoon and I know people on Twitter were anxiously waiting for there to be an update. Heres whats new.

-The iMacs have been updated, you can view all the specs here. Our iMac (27" late 2009) feels ancient compared to these updated models.

-The Magic Trackpad, which everyone has been waiting for and the rumours definitely hit the nail on the head. This seems exciting but I'm not sure if most people will buy as anyone who is not satisfied with the Magic Mouse has moved over to Wacom tablets. But I'm guessing everyone said that over the iPad and look where thats at now. Prove us wrong Magic Trackpad!
-Finally an Apple battery charger, comes with 6 rechargeable batteries. I have waited for you for so long, yes I know! you can use rechargeable batteries with the Magic mouse and keyboard but now I will have something that matches the beautiful products I own and yes it does matter.
Thats all from me for now but stay tuned. Bu Bi xoxox

Whimsical

The past couple of days have been really crazy with my boyfriend being off work and all, but hopefully I will be blogging a lot more as I have some summer plans and my camera is coming along with me.

On Sunday I went to my 4th car boot sale and to my surprise it was alright apart from seeing 2 old school teachers and former fellow pupils. I didn't purchase anything but there was definite potential. I never seem to have any luck when it comes to things like this, I know whilst at a car boot you need to dig for the good stuff but I have to say that I have been judging stalls way too much, I guess I just need to relax and take my time looking.

After the car boot me and Paul went to Halfords (bike shop) and bought two BMXs on a whim. We are not really bike people and we chose to assemble them ourselves, which was hellish as you can imagine. We tested them this morning, in the rain and they are just perfect.

Our plants are growing at a crazy rate, the sunflowers are pretty much the same size as me (will get a photo up soon).

I have a couple of pen-pals but haven't really got round to posting anything to them yet and man I feel bad but I have the craziest schedule and I don't want the letter to be half hearted. The other day I was feeling incredibly inspired and had my sketchpad at the ready but nothing interesting came to mind, so I grabbed the nearest envelope/scrap paper and started a word association. I think it looks beautiful on paper and maybe considering sending it as one of the envelopes to my pen-pal; its personal, fun and they get to see a little about me before they even get to the letter. Its really funny that I started out trying to draw and the sketchpad page is still completely empty, my mind is elsewhere constantly.

I need to stop getting carried away with my blog, Tumblr and Twitter. I talk too much, people find it annoying but I am just very opinionated. Hope you enjoyed.

Also

How rude have little kids become, public transport is the worst when they all break up for summer.

Today I was sitting quietly at the back of a bus reading (a bus full of OAPs). A mother and son got on and sat next to me, I didn't look up and acted as anti-social as I always do. Then out of the corner of my eye I see the boy looking me up and down; he must have only been 7/8. They then moved to the seat in front and he turned round and kept staring, his mother seen him and didn't say anything. It pissed me off as you can tell, maybe he had never witnessed anyone reading before.

Then a couple of days ago a boy of about 10 got onto the bus after leaving his friends and sat down shyly, when the bus passed by his friends he turned round and stuck two fingers up at them. What happened to waves? What happened to nice children? When I was younger I wouldn't have said boo to a ghost.

Rant over.

A little something extra..

These notes are what we found on the eMate, they were from 1998, I don't want to know what they were about to finish that sentence with. Nowadays there would be a lot more profanity on notes like these. I wonder where they are now...

Finds of the week

I haven't been to many car boot sales and for the past couple of weekends now me and my boyfriend have been giving them a go. I have to admit I got my hopes up a little, thinking I would find lots of interesting things.

We have been to three so far. the first one called "The Heritage Market" in my hometown city of Liverpool, we turned up only to find a lot of knock-off gear and quite a few chavs*. We walked around the perimeter of the market, hoping for it to be a lot bigger but we had finished browsing after about 10 minutes. Anyone from Liverpool this market is not recommended.

The second was a lot better as the weather that morning was rather nice and I actually purchased something to my astonishment. This beautiful camera that actually works.. well hopefully.

Another find that I was really pleased with was this eMate 300 - 1997/1998. My boyfriend works at a school and they were throwing this away and it also works; after we managed to override the teachers password.

*Chavs - Council House and Violent.
This is an actual legal term, I learnt it from my brother who is a solicitor.

Nothing is as good as a cat hug after a really long day

Rave reviews about Inception
I'm going to see it today and can't wait, it helps a lot to know that people are loving it. It has also taken the hype away from Eclipse which is always good :D
